Minerva's Temple, Bath
A winter scene of Minerva's Temple in Sydney Gardens, Bath. Bath lies in the south-west of England, famous today for its Georgian architecture and history. The Romans named it Aquae Sulis and created the baths from the hot spring from which Bath takes its name. Many famous people have lived here including the author Jane Austen, artist Thomas Gainsborough and astronomer William Herschel. Unesco proclaimed it a world heritage site in 1987.
