Archetype: The Suit

Archetype: The Suit - Experienced models understand their craft. They know the brief, study the pose, consider the look, and spend hours anticipating the emotions they are expected to convey. Here she chooses to squat — relaxed, slightly unexpected — yet it appears entirely natural. Small adjustments in the placement of her arms, the shift from direct eye contact to a deliberate indifference, all begin to tell a story. The studio floor echoes the choreography of her footwork, while shadows quietly assume their role, completing the scene.
From the series "Cinematic Conversations" in which the subject is free to do as they wish. The photographer offers gentle direction — guiding poses, suggesting pauses, asking the sitter to remain still, or to shift ever so slightly. Expressions are proposed rather than imposed: boredom, fatigue, detachment. Each suggestion subtly alters the presence of the sitter, revealing how mood alone can transform an image. Roles are hinted at, never named; the subject interprets, absorbs and reflects them in their own way.
