Polymath: The Moment She Understood - An incisive black-and-white study from the series Cinematic Conversations, in which the subject is given the freedom to do as she wishes. In this instance, four sequential images are employed. The photographer offers only gentle direction — guiding posture, suggesting stillness, or asking for the slightest shift in position. Expressions are proposed rather than imposed: boredom, fatigue, detachment. With each subtle adjustment, the sitter’s presence is transformed, revealing how profoundly mood alone can alter an image. Roles are hinted at but never named; the subject interprets, absorbs and reflects them in her own way.
