Blue Crittall Door - Walking the streets of an unfamiliar city can be wonderfully stimulating, and Rennes in northern France is no exception. Not far from the centre, I found myself one quiet afternoon in a slightly scruffy side street, confronted by this vision of a blue metal door - something straight out of a Jacques Tati film. The light, the colour, and the geometry all conspired to create this striking moment of stillness and charm.
