The Obelisk of Luxor

£235.00

Quantity:

Standing at the centre of Place de la Concorde in Paris, the Obelisk of Luxor is a striking monument with ancient origins. Originally one of a pair that flanked the entrance to the Luxor Temple during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II, it was gifted to France by Egypt in the 1830s. Its twin still stands at the temple site in Luxor, preserving the connection between these two historic places.
