The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain — architect Frank Gehry’s design incorporates approximately 33,000 titanium sheets. Naturally a muted silver-grey, the surface in this image is rendered with a blue hue, lending a beautiful soft sheen to a material capable of absorbing and reflecting light in equal measure. This photograph was made using a large format 4" x 5" (Ebony RSW45) view camera on film.
