Trianon I
£155.00
A pair of ageing pale-grey doors marks the entrance to a private chamber within the Grand Trianon at Versailles. The large, panelled doors are framed by elegant curved mouldings on either side, rising to an ornate, sculpted crest adorned with intricate Baroque flourishes. The Grand Trianon — a French Baroque château built by King Louis XIV for himself and the Marquise de Montespan — where refined architecture and royal intimacy meet.
