The facade is richly hand-painted, full of character and craft, but the most striking detail is the convex central panel of the door. Like a curved mirror, it catches and distorts the reflections of the canal-side trees, folding the scene into its polished surface and creating a quiet interplay between architecture, artistry, and the life of the street.
