Echoes of classic movie posters are present, underscored by the title’s reference to Tales of the Unexpected (Roald Dahl), the British television series that ran from the late 1970s through the 1980s. Bold, vibrant blocks of colour heighten the sense of form and dimension, transforming familiar visual elements into something elevated, intriguing, and unexpected.
