Die Siegessäule, Berlin
£75.00
Die Siegessäule, Berlin. The Victory Column (Siegessäule), often referred to as the “Golden Angel,” stands proudly in Berlin’s Tiergarten park. Originally located outside the Reichstag, the monument was relocated to its current position in 1938 and rises to a height of 67 metres. Topped with a gilded statue of Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory, it is both a national symbol and cinematic icon—featured prominently in Wim Wenders’ extraordinary 1987 film Wings of Desire.
