Grundtvig's Church - Interior IV
£135.00
Silence in monotone, a photograph of Grundtvig’s Church in Copenhagen’s Bispebjerg district. Built from five million pale yellow bricks, it blends Gothic grandeur with Nordic simplicity. Designed by architect Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint it has a striking visual elegance and restraint both inside and out. It was completed in 1940. Inside, the space is austere but luminous - soaring vaults, endless verticals, and soft light create a sense of calm reverence. There is no ornament, only pure form and silence, where light becomes the decoration and space itself feels sacred.
