Halcyon
£195.00
The Halcyon Gallery in central London, photographed in 2010 during a major refurbishment. An oversized hoarding conceals the scaffolding, transforming the building site into a temporary public gallery. Printed across the hoarding is a monumental painting by Mitch Griffiths, renowned for his highly accomplished and meticulously detailed portraiture. The subject is Ray Winstone, whose powerful screen presence and distinctive character have made him one of Britain’s most recognisable actors. Patriotism forms the central theme of the image, with a Union Jack serving as his only clothing, creating a bold and unmistakably British statement amid the bustle of the city streets.
