A photograph of a shop front in Vienne, southern France, a town just twenty miles south of Lyon. A beautiful powdery, vibrant blue dominates the facade of this quiet, elegant shop window, reminiscent of the 1970s'.
Le Courrier de Lyon was a newspaper publication between 1832-1901.
"Courrier de Lyon" is also a very famous French criminal case from the time of the French Revolution. A mail coach was robbed at night in April 1796, seven million livres were stolen and two men were brutally murdered. Three of the perpetrators were later tried and executed.
