An architectural detail study of an arched portal inside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross of Orléans (Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d’Orléans). Looking high into the transept, a narrow passageway can be seen behind a small series of five Gothic arches set above a grand arch marking the entrance to the aisle. The cathedral, a masterpiece of both Gothic and Gothic Revival architecture, has stood for centuries and was a place Joan of Arc visited regularly.
