The Pantheon in Rome, Italy. An icon of world architecture, the Pantheon's construction began in 27 BCE. The greek translation for Pantheon is "devoted to all gods".
The inscription on the facade of the portico translates as "Marcus Agrippa, son of Lucius, made this building when consul for the third time", and was added during the reign of Hadrian.
