Beneath the brilliance of the midday sun, the scene takes on an almost desert-like quality, reminiscent of the shifting tonalities of the Sahara. This vibrant colour study captures the tranquillity and openness of the coastline: a father and daughter, feet in the water, sailboats drifting quietly beyond them, and the distant silhouette of the Isle of Wight resting on the horizon.
